London Local Guiding Day

Free walks from six local guiding associations running 10am to the last start at 4pm on Sunday 10th October. Qualified guides from Clerkenwell & Islington, Hackney, Camden, Lambeth, Westminster and City of London are delighted to offer 1 hour’ ‘taster’ routes in their areas throughout the day. This year, we are exploring the history around Old Street, Hoxton, King’s Cross, Waterloo, Pimlico and mediaeval traces in the City.
The theme of all walks this year is ‘Back to the Future’, so you’ll hear how ancient traces have shaped London over the centuries and indeed how the past continues to influence future plans. I’ll be with the Islington Guides in the afternoon, and looking in on the Hackney Guides first thing, but do browse the website, see what takes your fancy and go on as many as you can, it’s a great day out!
