Booking
Booking and payment for all walks and talks is in advance and online via Eventbrite – please follow the link and booking form shown alongside each walk. In exceptional circumstances, if you are unable to book online, please contact me to make alternative arrangements to book and pay in advance.
Exact location will be confirmed once the booking has been made. Walk-ups on the day will not be accepted.
Group size and walk length
A maximum of 15 guests for live walks, although subject to change. Most walks cover 2 to 2.5 miles and take 2 hours or just over, depending on walking speed, questions etc.
Costs
£15 for live walks, £8 for online talks, private groups to be agreed with a minimum of £150.
Refunds
Cancellations by you 24 hours or more before the event – full refund less Eventbrite booking fee (which I otherwise cover).
Cancellations by you less than 24 hours before the event – no refund, sorry.
Cancellations by me for any reason – full refund.
Please note that live walks will go ahead except in really exceptional circumstances, so be prepared and dressed for bad weather if necessary.
Safety
Every effort will be made to observe road safety precautions, such as crossing by recognised crossings. Please follow any instructions from your guide and try to keep together as a cohesive group. You are, however, ultimately responsible for your own safety and the safety of any children accompanying you.
COVID-19, other out-of-the ordinary, or emergency events
If there is any recurrence of Covid or similar, live walks will adhere to any pandemic or emergency regulations, strictly within both the letter and spirit of the prevailing advice. This may involve, for example, limited numbers, social distancing, providing and wearing your own mask over nose and mouth, managing accompanying children, and hand sanitising. Please also be aware that the regulations may change at short notice. We reserve the right to ask anyone not observing the relevant guidance at the time to leave the walk, with no refund or redress.
